Michelle has more than 23 years of diverse Social Services experience, including counselling, case management, facilitation, crisis management, supervision, and direct support experience. Additionally, Michelle’s professional experiences include disability rights, working with youth, children and families, community development, promoting inclusive communities and creating and implementing a variety of support groups and skill building workshops. Michelle runs a disability consulting business called "The Neurodiversity Navigator". Michelle has lived experience navigating the system and this makes her a strong support for those who are struggling with a variety of issues.

Michelle is a past recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards in Muskoka for her work in the field of Community Development and Social Activism and a past Muskoka Awards nominee. Michelle has authored in international and local publications including work in the International Journal for Direct Support Professionals. Michelle is a RSSW and Michelle holds a Social Services Worker diploma from Sheridan College in addition to a variety of certificates including Non- Violent Crisis Intervention, Fierce Conversations, Mental Health First Aid and Trauma Informed Care just to name a few.

Michelle is experienced at supporting clients to navigate a variety of challenges including but not limited to addiction, family challenges, disability, anxiety, anger control challenges, mental health concerns, relationship navigation, healthy coping techniques, abuse, trauma, PTSD.

Michelle is passionate about providing client centred, holistic supports and can meet with clients in person at her Parry Sound location, on the phone or virtually.

 Online Counselling Offered.

Each of us occasionally needs help identifying solutions to life’s struggles. Other times, despite knowing solutions, we cannot take action. Regardless of current situations, emotional struggles, or past experiences, therapy helps us on a path of discovery to identify challenges and co-create solutions.

 I believe counselling allows us to work together, creating a life with increased happiness, emotional stability and fulfilling relationships.

I believe everyone already possesses the necessary resources to overcome their difficulties. Employing motivational interviewing, cognitive, narrative and mindfulness practices, we work together to reveal forgotten strengths and resiliencies to promote lasting and meaningful change.

My focus includes substance use, anger management, anxiety, depression, ADHD, conflict resolution and relationships. I am particularly interested in addressing relationship and parenting concerns from a male perspective.

Kassandra Richardson is a Registered Psychotherapist.  She has a passion for learning and understanding behaviour and believe that with the right tools we can be empowered to make positive changes in our lives. 

Kassandra shares it would be her pleasure to join you on your journey so you can make a change you are looking for in your life. She completed her  undergraduate degree in social psychology at McMaster University and a post-graduate certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Mohawk University. Kassandra has worked in the field of ABA over the past three years as an instructor therapist and am now a clinic manager.
